Villar

History

In this case, it is called Los Barrios de Nistoso to three very close localities: Nistoso, Tabladas and Villar. They are located in the area of La Cepeda Alta, north of the municipality of Villagatón-Brañuelas. Villar is the first we meet and the closest to Cueto de San Bartolo.

In Villar, as in Nistoso and Tabladas, there are important samples of the traditional architecture of the region, in many cases, they are preserved in perfect condition; in others, the passage of time and abandonment have done their job. There are numerous scholars who travel these towns in search of the study of traditional buildings.

 

Location

District belonging to the Municipality of Villagatón. It is located at 1140 meters, within the Comarca de La Cepeda. It is located north of Requejo and is the northernmost town of La Cepeda.
